In practice: Next Energy and MO the movement
An inspiring example is our collaboration with Next Energy. About a year and a half ago, a former colleague came up with an idea for a company: an energy supplier that offers dynamic prices. Such an innovative concept requires considerable IT support. For example, there had to be a system to retrieve the meter readings, an app for customers and an app for employees to keep track of all the administration. The founder of NextEnergy asked if we could help. This resulted in a unique collaboration where we, as Quatronic, became the co-founder of the new company NextEnergy. Together, we focused not only on technical implementation, but also on strategy and business processes. The company's growth exceeded all our expectations. Instead of the expected few thousand customers, the number of customers quickly grew to ten thousand. In doing so, the company also rapidly transformed from a cautious start-up to a successful company with a hundred employees. Another more recent example is MO the movement, a platform that links employees to volunteer NGOs. We developed the platform and, in our capacity as co-founder, we also helped the company take the first steps in its development. In February this year, the platform will go live and we will be able to welcome the first customers.
