In a world where organizations are increasingly dependent on technology, it's essential to have control over the performance and reliability of your applications. A virtual control room can be a valuable tool in this regard. In this blog, Rob van den Broek, partner at Quatronic, shares three examples where a virtual control room can help you proactively identify problems and keep your organization's daily operations running smoothly.
1. Monitoring irregularities
Of course, when applications that we develop are actually put into use, we don't want customers to have to call us because something isn't working. That's why we believe proactive monitoring is essential. Recently, we had a situation with a customer where the database was almost full. If you don't notice this, it can cause serious problems. Our smart virtual control room proactively monitors these kinds of issues for us. For example, by sending important information from the customer environment to our own environment, we can monitor the percentage of database usage and receive a notification when a certain limit is exceeded. This allows us to take action before a problem occurs.
2. Monitoring integrations and external systems
Many applications rely on integrations with other systems. Then it is important to know whether those other systems are still functioning properly, regardless of who developed the systems. A virtual control room can help you monitor the status of these integrations. For example, if your application needs data from a CRM system, it's valuable to know if the CRM system is still operational. By performing regular checks, you can detect problems early and take action to prevent possible disruptions. At Quatronic, we take ownership of how our solutions work, even if they rely on external systems. Throw responsibilities over the virtual fence? We don't like that.
3. Assurance of quality and continuity
In the early days of Quatronic, at least one of the four partners was always involved in our projects. We have now grown considerably, and there are also projects where we are not at the controls ourselves every day. At the same time, we still attach equal importance to the quality and continuity of our solutions. Even if we are not involved in a project on a daily basis, we want to make sure that all our solutions work properly. A virtual control room allows us to keep an overview of the status of all our applications. This way, we are automatically informed about possible issues and can respond proactively. That way, we can be sure that our solutions are available at all times and perform optimally. Sleep so well.
